1. Who we are
NorthFraim ("NorthFraim", "we", "us") operates northfraim.com and its related sites, including the NorthFraim theater at watch.northfraim.com. NorthFraim turns documents you upload, such as scripts, stories and business PDFs, into narrated films, and hosts films in its own streaming theater. This policy covers all of those services (the "Service").
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: your email address when you check out, sign up for the theater, join a waitlist or contact us.
- Theater account details: your email address and a password (stored only as a one-way hash) if you create a watch.northfraim.com account.
- Your content: the documents you upload, any edits, translations or instructions you give us, product links you add, and the films we generate from them. On the theater, the videos, titles and descriptions you upload.
- Reviewer email addresses: if you ask teammates to approve a film, the addresses you enter, so we can send them a review link.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through a form.
Payment information
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number is entered on Stripe's own checkout page and never reaches our servers. Stripe tells us the email on the payment, the product bought, the amount and whether it succeeded.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, recorded by our web server for security and troubleshooting.
- Viewing activity: on the theater, which films a signed-in viewer watches and for how long, so we can resume playback and count views toward creator earnings.
Information from services you connect
If you choose to post a finished film to YouTube, we receive a temporary permission from Google to upload that film to your channel. Section 4 explains exactly what that covers.
3. How we use information
- To produce, deliver and store the films you order, and to host and stream films in the theater.
- To process payments, prevent fraud and enforce plan limits.
- To send service messages, such as order status, review requests and receipts.
- To post a film to your YouTube channel, only when you ask us to.
- To count views and calculate creator earnings.
- To keep the Service secure, diagnose problems and understand overall usage (for example, how many films are made per day).
- To comply with the law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Google and YouTube data
NorthFraim uses YouTube API Services to let you publish a finished NorthFraim film to your own YouTube channel. By using this feature you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
- What we request: only the
youtube.uploadpermission, which lets us upload a video to your channel. It does not let us read your email address, your other videos, your subscribers or any other account data, and we do not ask for any of those. - When: only after you click "Post to YouTube" on a film you ordered and approve Google's consent screen.
- How it is used: to upload that one film, with its title and description, to your channel. We then store the new video's ID and link so we can show you that the post succeeded.
- What we keep: nothing else. The access token Google gives us is used once, for that upload, and is not saved. We do not request offline access or a refresh token, so we cannot act on your channel afterwards. To post again, you approve again.
- Revoking access: you can remove NorthFraim's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
NorthFraim's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, do not use it to train AI models, and do not let people read it except with your permission, for security, or as required by law.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run NorthFraim, and only what each needs to do its job:
- Payments: Stripe.
- Hosting and email: IONOS, which hosts our servers and our northfraim.com mailbox.
- AI generation: to write, voice and animate your film, the text of your document and scene descriptions are sent to AI model providers. These may include xAI, DeepSeek, OpenAI and OpenRouter. They receive your content to generate output for us, not your payment details.
- Google / YouTube: your film, title and description, only when you choose to post it.
We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights and safety of NorthFraim, our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
6. Cookies and browser storage
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our pages use your browser's local and session storage to remember things like an in-progress order or your theater sign-in. Our pages load the Inter font from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the font loads.
7. How long we keep information
We keep your documents, films and order records for as long as needed to provide the Service, let you download or re-post your film, handle support and meet legal and accounting obligations. Payment records are kept as required by tax law. You can ask us to delete your content at any time (see section 9). Google access tokens are never stored, as described in section 4.
8. Security
All traffic to northfraim.com is encrypted with HTTPS. Our application servers are not reachable directly from the internet, passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and card data never touches our systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you as required by law.
9. Your choices and rights
- Access, correction and deletion: email us to get a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete your documents, films and account.
- YouTube access: revoke it from your Google Account at any time. Deleting a video already posted to YouTube is done from your YouTube channel.
- Email: we send service messages about your orders. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK or California), you may have additional rights, such as objecting to certain processing or lodging a complaint with a data-protection authority. We will honor them. We respond to requests within 30 days.
10. Children
NorthFraim is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you before it takes effect.
