1. The Service
NorthFraim ("NorthFraim", "we", "us") provides northfraim.com and related sites, including the NorthFraim theater at watch.northfraim.com (together, the "Service"). The Service turns documents you upload into narrated films using AI, lets you edit, translate and share them, lets you post them to YouTube, and hosts films in our streaming theater. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and forms part of these terms.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live, to use the Service. If you use it on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for that business. You are responsible for keeping your theater password secure and for activity under your account.
3. Your content
- You keep ownership. You own the documents you upload and, as between you and NorthFraim, the films we generate for you.
- Permission to process it. You grant us a limited license to store, copy, process and transmit your content, including to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy, only as needed to provide the Service to you. For films you place in the theater, this includes streaming them to viewers and showing their title and thumbnail in the catalog until you remove them.
- You need the rights. Only upload material you own or have permission to use. You are responsible for your content and for the films made from it, including anything you choose to publish.
- Promotional use only with consent. We will not feature your film in our own marketing without your permission.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to create, upload or publish content that:
- infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights;
- is illegal, sexually exploits minors, promotes violence or terrorism, or harasses or threatens anyone;
- impersonates a real person, or is designed to deceive people into believing fabricated events are real;
- contains malware, or is spam.
You also agree not to interfere with or overload the Service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, scrape it, or get around its limits or payments. We may refuse to render, remove, or decline to host content that we reasonably believe breaks these rules.
5. AI-generated output
Films are produced with AI models for script, voice, imagery and video. AI output can be inaccurate, can vary from run to run, and may resemble other material. Review your film before you rely on or publish it. Our review and editing tools are there so you can correct scenes before anything goes public.
6. Posting to YouTube
If you choose "Post to YouTube", we use YouTube API Services to upload your film to the YouTube channel you authorize. By using this feature you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's Privacy Policy applies to your use of YouTube.
- We only upload when you ask, one film per approval, and we do not keep access to your channel afterwards.
- Once posted, the video is on your channel and subject to YouTube's rules. You manage, edit or delete it on YouTube. Deleting it from NorthFraim does not remove it from YouTube.
- YouTube may set or change a video's visibility (for example, keeping it private) under its own policies.
- You can revoke NorthFraim's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
7. The NorthFraim theater
If you host a film in the theater, you grant viewers a personal, non-commercial right to stream it on the Service. Creator earnings are calculated from counted views as described on the Showcase page. Earnings are recorded but cash payouts are not yet available; when they are, we will publish their terms before any payout is made. We may remove views we reasonably believe are fraudulent or automated.
8. Payments and refunds
- Prices are shown before checkout, and payments are processed by Stripe. You authorize us, through Stripe, to charge the payment method you provide.
- Subscriptions, such as the theater Upload Plan, renew automatically at the stated price until canceled or until the end date shown on the offer. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds: if a paid film cannot be delivered because of a failure on our side, we will re-run it or refund you. Other refund requests are handled case by case: email us within 14 days of purchase. This does not limit any refund rights you have under the law where you live.
- You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase, other than taxes on our income.
9. Our property
The Service, including our software, site design and the NorthFraim name and logo, belongs to NorthFraim and is protected by law. These terms don't give you any rights to them except to use the Service as intended.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your content. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to download your films. Sections 3 (ownership), 5, and 11 to 13 survive termination.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that renders will finish within a particular time, or that a film will earn any views or income.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NorthFraim will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
13. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against NorthFraim because of content you uploaded or published, or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service changes. We will update the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will notify you before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.
